Public Law Children Specialist.

We have an exciting opportunity for a talented and enthusiastic Solicitor or Legal Executive specialising in Public Law children cases. This full time role will involve managing an existing busy caseload of care cases. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is committed to assisting often vulnerable clients and who is ambitious to drive their career forward.

The Candidate

  1. You will be a capable advocate.
  2. You will have detailed knowledge of the relevant law and case law.
  3. You will have experience in acting for parents, children and / or the Local Authority in Care, Supervision and Adoption matters.
  4. Membership of the Law Society’s Children Panel or working towards accreditation would be an advantage.
  5. You will have excellent IT skills.
  6. You will be a team player.
  7. You will be focussed on providing exceptional service and advice to your clients.
  8. You will have excellent knowledge of the legal aid rules and regulations.
  9. You will manage your files so that they are compliant with the legal aid agency requirements.
  10. You will have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Family Law Solicitor.

We have a great opportunity for a family law Solicitor keen to undertake divorce, financial remedy, injunctions, private and some public law children proceedings. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wishes to develop their skills as a family lawyer and who is ambitious to drive their career forward.

Family Law Paralegal.

We have an excellent opportunity for a paralegal to assist our family team in relation to public law children cases. You will assisting our busy team of Solicitors. Previous experience would be an advantage, though not crucial.

ASSISTANT CASHIER/ADMIN SUPPORT

An exciting opportunity to be part of our team to support our Legal Cashier/Accounts Manager.

Applicants should be Computer literate with a good knowledge of Word and Excel and have some experience of working with accounts systems including posting of receipts/payments. Knowledge of Solicitors Accounts Rules would be useful but not essential as training will be provided.

A good knowledge of banking systems is necessary and candidates should have achieved GCSE or equivalent in Mathematics and English.

Duties will include

  • Daily posting of receipts/payment to computer accounts system
  • Daily bank management including writing of cheques for approval by authorised signatory
  • Payment of invoices, processing card statements and VAT
  • Taking and recording credit/debit card payments
  • Petty Cash
  • Archiving of files and allocation of archive reference, updating computer system
  • Assisting with accounts queries
